Things to do in Bali

Things to do in Bali

Bali

Bali is one of the top honeymoon destinations these days and why shouldn’t it be?

It offers amazing accommodations and adventurous activities under decent prices. Where else would you imagine renting a villa with private pool under INR 30,000 for 5 Nights?

Bali villa

It is the first place where I saw a volcano and activities like water surfing. Bali makes you feel like a billionaire because you spend in lakhs, even for a can of cola.

So for those who are not aware of Bali’s currency, it is 1 INR = 200 Rupiah. So, a coke can and a pizza can easily cost you 1.5 lakhs Rupiah.. enjoy that!

VISA

This is another reason which attracts people towards Bali, Visa On Arrival (VoA) is available for many countries. Like, it is free for Indian nationals if the stay does not exceed 30 days and many other country nationals as well.
Check which all countries are eligible for free VoA. For people wishing to stay more than 30 days, they will have to pay 35 USD. Find all about the visa rules and regulation.

CURRENCY

As I said that the value of Rupiah is low against Rupees. Here are some denominations to look at. They have a note for 1 Lakh as well, in red.

WHERE TO STAY IN BALI

There are many good areas to explore in Bali depending upon your interest. If you are want to spend your holidays relaxing in a green belt then choose Ubud.
Ubud Bali
Southern Bali is the most happening part of the entire island. So if you want to relax at the beach, shop, and drink at some good bars, this is the area to be in Bali.  Stay near Seminyak beach or Kutta beach.
La Planche is a restaurant in Seminyak which offers seating arrangements just like the image below. Amazing, right? Just drop by this restaurant when you reach Bali for a comfortable and peaceful time.

Kutta Beach, Bali Itinerary

Kutta beach is calm, not as happening as the one mentioned above BUT it has a wonderful mall, right across the road, surrounded by the street market and restaurants/cafes.

Both the beaches are good for surfing. If you want to do diving then stay in the Southeastern area.

Tips

When somebody passes away in Bali, the entire house is decorated. The gate is decorated with a butterfly-like structure. So don`t think that any happy function is going on.
