This is the beginning of the journey to the making of Harry Potter where you can discover the actual sets, clothes,Β and props used in the movie. This Studio Tour in London is one of the many magical tours led by the Harry Potter team. You will be amazed to know that a fan spent a record time of 14 hours inside this Studios enjoying every aspect of the tour whereas the normal look and go tour will take approx 4 – 5 hours. I wonder what was the level of his curiosity that made him stay inside for 14 hours! There must be something more insideΒ that I have missed.

I will not be surprised if I did becauseΒ there are so many things to do inside the Harry Potter Studios. One can even ride the broom and get clicked. Yes, you read that right. You will get to know the techniques used behind the scenes and check out all the cool stuff used in the movie.

This post is more about pictures. Let’s start from the start, this studio in London is at Watford Junction. You will have to take a Rail (Like West Midlands) to this station. Mind you, Oyster card is not enough to reach here. You will need other cards to get some discounts on your actual ticket prices.Β

Β Read all the top tips to save money on public transportation in LondonΒ to know about good discounts.

Just get down here and head out of the station. Gather near the bus stop and soon you will see a bus covered with Harry Potter posters reaching towards you. You will have to pay 2 Pounds approx per person to ride this bus(to and back) to the studios.

Grab a seat and get comfortable as it takes around 10 minutes to reach the Studios.Β Β

As you come to the hall’s entrance, you will see a food court right at the entrance because once you are inside you will not find anything to eat. Prepare yourΒ tummies for your tour. You can deposit your bags for free at the luggage counter and collect it after the tour.

Do you remember this small room under stairs? This is Harry’s room where he spent most of his time at Dursley’s.

The stage looks like the following and you can’t imagine what lies behind these doors. Any guesses?

This door leads to the majestic hall where the all the wizards used to gather. Amazing, right? Do you remember how the ceiling was adorned by candles or other props and gave it a look of high rise floor? Well, the actual height of the room is as shown in the picture and all of that was done by effects. Experiencing this hall was one of my favourite moments of the tour.Β

Once you click all the pictures you want, the staff members demonstrate a scene for you from the Goblet of the fire, when the cup throws aΒ chit with Harry’s name. Watch this video:

Yes, even Dumbledore’s office is there. I wish I could meet the Phoenix bird as well.

See what I found in the office – the Pensieve – from which Dumbledore saw past memories after storing them. I got a chance to review a few memories as well.
