Shopping in Paris

Paris and shopping, aren’t these synonyms? haha… two of my favourites but like many others, you also must be under the impression that shopping in Paris is expensive, isn’t it? The answer is no! You just need to shop at the right places which suit your pocket.

This is the fourth part of the Paris Tour Guide series and if you still haven’t read the first three parts then quickly go through all of those so that you are well aware of the attractions in Paris and the Paris Pass before you start shopping.

1. Champs Elysees

This is the world famous shopping street situated right in line with the Louvre Museum. This street is house to all the luxury boutiques in the world and also a house to regular brands like Sephora, Zara, Mango and more. This 1.91 km stretch is the Mecca of shopaholics.

There is something for all kind of people here whether it be just wanting to sit and relax in a cafe or go mad riding a Ferrari, everything!

Going towards Arc de Triomphe, on the left-hand side are all the luxury boutiques and on the right-hand side are the regular brands (more or less the arrangement is like this). Here is a glimpse of a few shops that you will find here:

ZARA Home

This was the first time when I visited “ZARA Home”, I was absolutely unaware of its existence. If you are also like me then welcome to the club :). As the name suggests ZARA Home is a place to buy decor and essentials for your home. You will find beautiful bedsheets, cutlery sets, door knobs, plates and so much more. It is worth a visit.

Sephora

It is a huge store and you can easily spend hours shopping here. Sephora has its own product line and it is cheaper in Paris comparatively. The product range is also wider here and you will find a lot of training and small events happening throughout the day in the store. The staff is really helpful and you can request them to help you wear any product you like and might want to buy. They will not hesitate to spend time with you.

This is one of the three Lindt boutiques in Paris and it is delicious! The best part is that you can taste the chocolates for free in the store, yeye… There are just so many flavours available in the store that you will not be able to taste all of it even for free, I dare you…

I loved the sea salt one and the little bar shaped piece covered in golden wrappers. Name the flavour and you will get it, Orange, Strawberry, Hazelnut, Mango, and so many more. Yum!

Do ask for the current offers going on in the store. This brand is available at really good prices here.

If you do not like hopping from one shop to another and love comparing products from different brands then screw all the places and visit this place. It is a huge huge huge store with more than 100 brands under one roof. Check out the list of brands here.

All kind of products for men, women are available here including home decor, salon services, make-up, clothes, and accessories. You can also dine inside this huge mall and also collect your tax-refunds here but mind you, you will be charged for giving the cash right then and there. It is better to collect the receipt here and cash from the airport

You can also get your bags delivered at your address. It is easy to get lost here so the good news is that they have an app to the rescue to help you navigate through the mall. If you want to get a sense of medieval times then visit this district of the city. The area is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings and a lot of boutiques. It is a good place to buy some Parisian stuff from the concept stores, you will also find some brands along with the boutiques.

Find real Paris on the streets of Le Marais and immerse yourself in a Parisian lifestyle. The clothes are expensive but whether or not you buy any, you must visit this area once. The stores are small but really pretty, it is easy to reach this place by metro.

4. La Vallee Village

Do you love luxury brands like Chanel, LV and Burberry? And, you don’t mind spending 300 or 400 Euros on such products? then before you buy stuff from the big boutiques on Champs-Elysees visit this Village. This place is 1 hour away from the city but worth a visit if you can afford the luxury brands.

This Village is home to a huge outlet mall where you can find all luxury brands at 40% – 50% cheaper rates. Check out this place first and if you don’t like the quality or you don’t find the product you are looking for then buy it the next day from another store in the city.

Reserve an entire day for this tour, this place is near Disneyland in Paris. It is open 7 days a week and you can reach here by RER(train).
