Welcome to the World Class Jewel Changi Airport
HSBC Rain Vortex is one of the most celebrated attractions of Jewel and I would not be wrong in saying that this has become the symbol of Jewel.
Jewel is another building which is interconnected with Terminal 1, 2 and 3. You do not need to have air tickets to visit this futuristic marvel! and the travellers can check – in for their flights 24 hours in advance. Wonderful, right?
Early Check-in Lounge
The early check-in lounge is at L1. There are only certain airlines which allow early check-in here but gradually all of it will be coming aboard. The following is the list of all the airlines available for early check-in here:

Baggage Counter & Charges
And, if your airlines is not on this list then don’t worry, you can keep your luggage at the baggage counter for few dollars per 6 hours. The charges (5 SGD, 10 SGD, 15 SGD and 18 SGD ) are in accordance with the size and weight of the bag. Also, there are 50% discounts during night.
This baggage counter is located next to Check-in Lounge. It is not mandatory to check-in or store your luggage. You are free to explore this place with out doing any of the above.
Retail Therapy
Shops and attractions at Jewel closes at night and even the Vortex takes rest for some hours. Shops close around 10 pm and most of the attractions as well. Last Vortex light and sound show is at 11:30 pm.
Tip: If you want to catch the famous light and sound show along with all the shops and attractions then make sure to not exit the complex before 8pm or visit at atleast around 7 pm to catch all the things. The show goes on every hour from 7:30 pm till 11:30 pm.

There are huge duplex stores of various brands like Apple and Nike here. This is a duplex store of Nike with extensive and exclusive collection, you can even get your own shoes customised. Muji is another store which occupies space of 11 duplex stores!! It is a huge store to bring some Muji interiors in your life.
70% of jewel is full of shopping opportunities and all the shopaholics will adore this place. This place offers something for all age groups. The L4 is dedicated to kids where they can find cool cafes and shops like Pokemon.
Food Joints
Apart from these stores, there are some amazing food giants which are not available in the city yet. A&W and Shake Shack entered Singapore through Jewel after a very long wait and it was very observed on the very opening day with people’s overwhelming reactions and never-ending queues.
There are multiple cuisines available to serve people from all over the world. For Indian cuisine, there is a restaurant called “Sanskriti” at L2.
Attractions
The most fun part of this building is at L5, The Canopy Park. There are 9 attractions in this park and entrance to this park is for 5 SGD per person. This fees also include visit to 4 attractions out of 9.

Facilities
There are multiple free seating areas on the ground floor and sofas near the Baggage Storage as well. The latter area also provides charging points and free wi-fi is available in the entire complex.
A paid lounge area is also available to snooze for a while. If you want to take a proper sleep then you will have to look no further because this place also has a hotel YotelAir to relax! You can even rent a room for 4 hours. Know more.
Thinking shopping is not your cup of tea? How will you spend your long halt? The answer is IMAX, Shaw Theatres are also available at this terminal. By now you must have realised that Singapore is keeping no stones unturned to make your experience amazing.
This is a must visit place, so if you are not planning a trip to Singapore then at least plan a halt at this airport. How often do we see waterfalls and slides in an airport!?
How to Reach Jewel?
- By MRT: Make your way to Changi Airport Station (CG2) from your closest station and reach Jewel through link bridges located at level 2 of Terminals 2 and 3.
- By Bus: Bus Number 24, 27, 34, 36, 53, 110, and, 858 stops at Terminal 1. You can walk to Jewel from here. Check Google Maps for your available routes before starting.
- By Cab: Jewel, 78 Airport Blvd, Singapore 819666
Jewel is one of the best attractions near the Changi Airport, there is no need to look for other places to visit if you have short halts in Singapore.
